70’s throw back

1970s fashion was a fun era, it had some of the best elements of the 60’s and perfected and/or exaggerated them. Yes, just like the never ending fashion cycle this top has made its way from the 70’s, not actually but you know what I mean. The lace up neck lines are definitely in today and can be seen on knits, dresses and a range of tops everywhere! I don’t think I can go bare with the lace up neckline as most come down to your knees these days.

I like this top lots, it’s modernised with cold shoulders and has a warm, happy feeling about it. The best part about it is that it’s from maiaandmarley – good Kiwi ingenuity needed in any wardrobe. I can’t wait to purchase a pair of black and blue denim bootlegs/flares to go with this beauty (I still can’t believe I’m heading back in the flare direction).

Totally off topic but thought this was cool, some quick general knowledge for ya. Gas stations abandoned during the fuel crisis in the winter of 1973-74 were sometimes used for other purposes. This station at Potlatch, Washington, west of Olympia was turned into a religious meeting hall, I don’t know if I could’ve got my praise party on in a gas station……
